Project Overview: The Ayala Alabang Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), located within the Ayala Alabang Village, underwent a significant upgrade. This project was undertaken by Maynilad Water Services Inc. to enhance sewerage coverage and reduce pollution loading in the Manila Bay.
Key Highlights:
- Location: The facility spans a 2.25-hectare lot along Alabang-Zapote Road in Brgy. Pamplona Uno, Las Piñas City.
- Capacity: Once completed in 2021, it will be Maynilad’s largest sewage treatment plant, capable of treating approximately 88 million liters of wastewater per day.
The Ayala Alabang Sewage Treatment Plant adheres to the Water Quality Guidelines and General Effluent Standards of 2016 (DAO 2016-08), a standard mandated by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
This upgrade contributes to sustainable water management and environmental protection, ensuring cleaner waterways and healthier communities.
